We are continuing our discussion of Interoception - our body's 8th Sensory System! Please review the below video & assessment tool you can utilize to address this area of sensory processing.

Currently, the "Multidimensional Assessment of Interoceptive Awareness" is the best assessment tool OTs can utilize to assess Interoception. More research needs to be performed to make this a standardized assessment, as there are no current assessments for OT use. The questionnaire development was funded by the National Institute of Health (NCCAM/NCCIH) and is public domain.
